As per title really.

IBC too big to move on my own and 1000 litres overkill  

Anything else to consider or would the wheelie bin be ok ?

Thats all I use - I use bulhead fittings through the bottom with a strainer inside, that way it gives the suction line a positive feed

Used one for years. Built in filters, return valve and ball-cock. Works a treat and only ever had a problem on larger jobs and odd job where flow really poor.

On larger jobs I got to loaning an IBC from one of my suppliers and left this on site the day before to fill, thus giving plenty of back up when needed.

Added bonus is that you can use it to cart all your hoses, tarps etc. around in.

excuse my ignorance but what is a bulkhead and how does it work ? ..... is it like a baffle ?

BDS have you any pics showing your wheely bin setup ie  your conection to get water supply from the bulkhead and filter supply.    can you get all this equipment from one supplier,is it a simple diy job.     do you not need to use your suction hose much.     am i right in thinking you use your hose conection you would connect to a customers tap but connecting it to water butt instead.    how much water does a wheely bin hold,  id paint mine black.

headache,     wheely bin = 240 litres  not bad consumption,  maybe best with 2 fill one ready to change over to second 1

now is the hard bit , how to connect up  to fit pressure hose onto.   i know once you have done it its simples,  but its all new to me till i see a setup.  then my brain will go in overdrive.

Run your hose pipe into the wheelie bin. It's a reservoir not a supply.

sorry chris,    must have a mix up,    i was thinking of a tap connected to bottom ot water bin to acess water supply,     different from just using the 3m suction hose dropped into top of bin , looked on youtube   nothing .just the big ibc tanks., there use to be a chap on acs  site   john from blackpool,    he sent a few pics of his set up on his wheely bins.  cant find him.

Johnny, I think that you have helped others over the past with the questions that you have asked, and the replyes that have been given by those responding to your questions.

I to am converting a wheelie bin, I was thinking of putting a vertical valve in a piece of plastic sewer pipe just so it dosn't get bent or damaged, as I fear that when chucking stuff in the bin to tote stuff back a ballcock would get bent.

Don't put anything in your bin or it will be full of sand. I've used a wheely bin for years without any problems and never bent a ball cock.
