« on: February 09, 2006, 03:44:05 pm »
What types of hoses we all using and how do you rate them??
I use a triple reinforced high pressure hose (since May 05) and haven't had a single kink or knot yet. little bit on the heavy side so 9/10.  Anyone use tricoflex/megastar or anything like that??

I've been using one similar to the Hozelock pro for 4 months, no probs really, had one or two kinks on very cold days.  I'm thinking of converting to a narrower bore so I can get more on the reel.  So I'll be interested in comments here too.

I now have 2 reels of Microbore. This is my 6th week of Wfp, I tried 1/2" hose for 3 weeks, it was a nightmare, Heavy, awkward, Frustrating, No wonder people use a trolley if they only use 1/2" hose.

I cannot beleive Ioincs, Brodex sell van systems with 1/2" hoses, Complete and utter madness. If your useing 1/2" hose, do yourself a big Favour and get M/bore.

I bought mine from Gardinerpolesystems, They have now improved the M/bore, the inner hose is now thicker 10mm outer diameter. Which is great if you use their valves as you can now just cut the yellow outerlayer off and the control valve will fit perfectly.

I started off with hozelock pro but got peed off with the kinking.  I currently use tricoflex which seems good.   I will probably move on to microbore soon but I would want to get it in yellow.

Dopes anyone else sell the same hose? Dai

used 1/2 " to start with now use microbore if you dont use microbore then you are not using the full potential of your system
just get microbore ,

and even if it cost me £200 i would still buy it as it is it only costs about £30 for 30mtr

you wont look back
