You have some good point but joking a side, its more ticking boxes for regulations! like getting a LPG stick on the van door/ first aid kit ete and keeping the insurance company happy as its a brand new van with a retail price of 20k!

Powder is the one to be used on gas and electric items.
will make a mess of everything and damage everything in the van.

I'm pretty certain that you need a powder extinguisher for butane etc. I don't think foam is suitable for that type of fire and I also seem to remember for insurance purposes, a powder extinguisher is suitable for all types of fires.

The gas used in the heaters are propane gas. But you are right it is powder

I'm never sure what the difference is between butane and propane.

Anyway, that means no cooking chips in the van. Never mind.

Propane is more commonly used for cooking, heating, industrial and leisure appliances. It has a lower boiling point and is stored at a higher pressure meaning propane is better suited for outside storage.
Butane is mainly used for mobile heaters and some leisure appliances. Butane has a higher boiling point and will freeze once the temperature reaches 0'C.

Yer I have the same problem with them, over winter I have a shelf of about 20-30 third full.
I find taking them out giving them a shake and put them back in helps but only for about a minute or two.

Poundland were doing 6 cartridges for £5 a few weeks back which is a very cheap price.
