Pump Controller needed
« on: December 20, 2012, 09:51:14 pm »
Im in the market for a new pump controller, but not sure which one to buy. My varistream was ok until she sadly departed! Unfortunately delivery times dont seem as though i will get one before 27th Dec, so i will be rewiring my pump pressure switch up again for work tomorrow! Hope i get the wiring correct :-\

I have  a 100psi shurflo and use 100 metre microbore hose!

Should i buy another varistream, although some recommend only 60m of microbore is used or should i buy a different controller?

Thanks in advance guys! :)

I use an analogue controller that I make, only cost £40 brand new.

This controller will control any water fed pole cleaning pump from 0-100%.  I use it on each of my Shurflo 100psi pump.

This controller doesn't control the voltage like most do, as a result of this, the pump will keep the same flow no matter how high you use your pole.

We have 2 of these controllers in use for coming upto 2 years now and had no problems with them.

it has an extrnal waterproof 10A fuse for protection, to allow the fuse to be checked and changed with out the need of opening it up.

It has the tails and connectors ready for you to connect to the battery and the pump.

It has a Blue Nyon waterproof switch so you can see from a distance when it is on. Having this switch will save you time to finding that setting that you use.

To turn the water flow up all you have to do is turn the dial to increase or decrease the flow.

Only to be used where the pump is fitted with a pressure switch

Hi Rich i was somewhere on here! might not have been you.

If it doesnt work on voltage, then how? (not electrically minded) As long as it works without damaging the pump or pressure switch then fine!

If u got any pics or info please? If u convince me i may want two! ;)

Im going to try mesage you my mobile

does anyone have a like on how to make your own controller?

£6 from ebay; stick it in a box - it won't be difficult; and hey presto, a flow controller for under a tenner!

The wiring is simple too.

Saying that, I've not done it yet; I plan to do it over the holidays.
