Dazmond and Lee Dewing pump box users...

What are your thoughts now you've had it a while. I don't really have offstreet parking so I am dragging in trolley (used as van mount) to charge every two days and it's really starting to pee me off and like the idea of a pumpbox. How do you secure it in van?

Easiest way is the nylon blocks that wickes sell for diy units , the ones with pre drilled holes , as long as you have a ply floor in the van its a winner , i use this method for most of my gear .

hi steve i dont secure mine in at all!its heavy enough as it houses a 12v lead acid battery as well.

easy to use and easy to disconnect to bring in overnight if needed.

mines very robust.cracking bit of kit.mines the streamline pumpbox with 100psi shurflo pump with strainer, digital varistream and 75AH leisure battery.

miles better than having a big 50L trolley in the back of my van!! :D :D ;D ;D ;D

best wishes

Can you not just take the battery out of the trolley to charge? That's what I do with mine.

Isn't that a pain though?

Two second job to disconnect the battery and whip it out. Certainly it's at easier than lifting out an entire trolley.

I will have a look. I have never removed the battery before.

My leisure battery has a handy handle on it.  I park up, open my side door, disconnect the crocodile clips and just carry it into my shed for charging, using the handle.

I would imagine a pump box (besides the extortionate cost) is a lot heavier, 'cos it'll contain the pump too; and I bet it'll drip water everywhere if you're taking it into the house.

Taking battery from PF trolley is a pain in the backside or used to be the battery casing is glued to bottom of trolley .

So you had to take one wheel off prise the casing off the bottom of the trolley once you have done it once it will take 5 mins or so . Mike

Just connect one hose end to a tank and the other to a reel. Simples!

If you are not bothered about selling trolley on why dont you just chop trolley down and take wheels off then it  will weigh about the same as a pump box .

And save you £300  ;D ;D . Mike
