cant you find something for under £1000.      maybe when you get the experience then a better unit will be justified.
chris  were do you get the prices off taskman site.

Mate I started with a £350 chinese copy. It got me going but I would recommend to others, it felt apart and lost pressure week by week.
You can pick up a honda or yanmar with interpump or cat pumps on ebay for less than a grand. I recommend a nice tidy second hand genuine that isn't going to be a problem getting seals and valves for on the pump and the right parts for the engine.

I had the Honda GX390, it cost a fortune to run on petrol.

I've had a quick look on ebay and there is a used Honda diesel for £1250

Why would you buy a second hand unit and take a punt ? You can buy a brand new unit for under £2k with the usual years warranty and a VAT receipt.

this machine is from Ireland which I would swerve as you can't take it back and kick off.
For £2400 you can get a reputable machine running diesel, 21 litres/min. The window cleaner down the road is tight when it comes to buying work kit but always has an exotic holiday !

Johnny, if you show your email address in your profile, someone might give you sound advise that they don't want to broadcast to their local competitors over the internet. ;)
