thinking of staying with Gardiners range as you cant order spares online from facelift as yet and still waiting for a part to turn up
The reason for change was I liked the idea of a lighter more rigid pole with a shorter collapsed length than the CLX27 and the Pheonix was the only option as Gardiner dont currently sell a carbon version of the 27
I have had other issues with this pole but will post in due course
Steve, can you let me know what part you are looking/waiting for? I can chase this up for you.
Please also let me know of any issues you have, we are striving to make the best wfp bar none and working constantly to develop the ranges with this in mind.
The base section clamp has cracked this being the third clamp in total, it seems the clamps fitted to my pole are brittle and crack when stripping pole down to clean, They crack when sliding pole over the silver section, since the base clamp has cracked its given me the opportunity to assess the problem as the pole grinds and is very stiff to extend and collapse and require cleaning every few days
Have just looked at the pole with the broken base clamp, if you extend and collapse the pole with the broken clamp there is no friction it glides in and out like new but extending the sections with the working clamp its back to a friction, it looks like the inside of the clamps have become course...now the pole is starting to wear i am thinking it maybe the lacquer on the pole that is coming off or the clamps are simply holding the dirt
although its a lovely pole to use being more rigid and lighter than the CLX 27 we are having to many issues
Also the collar that the gooseneck screws to has snapped (not from general use, pole was leaning against a window at first floor when wind blew it over)
