Fogwash/hotwash equivalent?
« on: December 14, 2012, 03:28:05 pm »
My Hotwash is still running fine (Peter Fogwills one)

Seems like Peter is taking orders again :

http://www.window-tools.com/

But if that fails to come through, what equivalent is out there that is proven reliable and easy to use? Must be able to attach flue.

Where does it say he is taking orders, I can't see it in there?

I have a marey 5l that can attach a flue, no timer and works perfectly. I havnt tried a fogwash, but by reading the reviews, the marey seems just as good

It's this one. There are people selling it on eBay in USA so you could try asking them for a postage quote because the postage direct from marey is high.

Hmm, website says :

Quote
Water Fed Pole Hotwash coming soon orders now taken. Washing windows has never been easier with hot water window cleaning.

Bit of an opportunity lost, I would make some storage space if I was him.

What are the necessary specs on heaters? Water output etc. seem to range from 5l to 18l. Definitely don't want one with a timer either.

There used to be loads of different ones on ebay when the fogwash first came out. Not that many different ones now. All seem to be on 20min timers.

What about this one?

Going to have a look on Nats forum.

Thanks James, but no possibility for a flue, and no winter/summer setting.

After readinreviews of other heater, not firing up, not reliable, ect, then the positive reviews of the fogwash, I wanted to get one but Peter didn't have any and had not plans to get anymore. I looked at loads, I wanted one without a cutout, and low start up flow, and settled for the marey.

I've used it for 5 weeks now, it's fired up every time, setting the temperature was easy, it doesn't fluctuate I am really pleased with it, I run 2 reels from it as well.

So going by my experience with the marey and comparing it to the fogwash, I would say its just as good.

So, that's about £140 all in. Is there any import duty to be paid, or is that in with the P&P?
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.
