Our hot systems were fitted today
« on: December 10, 2012, 09:58:40 pm »
Thats right. Only teething problem is one of the heaters does not re ignite after you stop the water flow as it should. Its a minor issue and is still usable just going to be more faffing for my chap than is needed. I have emailed the supplier on ebay and will await there new one in the post.

Apart from that very very pleased, come out piping hot if you want and the chap in the unit next to mine who is a mechanic did a top job of fitting it all in for us. I gave my team the day off (fully paid on me) while it was being done then we all met up to have a play. I loved it. Might go out for a day to see what its like in the real world.

First day out with them tomorrow and we happen to have a load of fisrt cleans, a con roof and a fascia clean. Be interesting to get my guys feed back.

the fittings we use are actualy very good anyway, nice and tight. The hose is old but seemed ok today. Its getting to the stage now so may go for the thermobore soon. the only concern right now is the hose from the heater to the reel, this went like jelly today haha

I have 2 right now both with large 2 man systems. I have had 3 in the past but made changes to my business (long boring story) and now its 2. We will be getting a new renault master or traffic (still deciding) next summer.

get some 1 meter length flexy tap connectors from a plumbers merchant ,should do the trick, you can get them with 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch connections

That's the bit I meant. It goes soft and expands with the heat. The hose on the reel might be ok for a while but take your toolkit with you  ;)

Used ours for first time today, same ebay heater i think.

What temp you looking to use it at?

We've had an slight issue with a hose popping of reel but other than that all seems good so far.
It is funny having the hose all floppy and jelly like, nice and easy to reel in though!

Oooooo that is shiny!!

Yes I have, we use there controllers which are very good.

I think thats very expensive really. Mine cost About £250 a van to kit out with hot and thats with a proper flue through the roof so you can close the van doors.

Personaly I dont think any company sells a properly priced hot system. Ours are fantastic and cose less than an average pole!
