my girlfriend is opening a shop in the new year and shes asked me to clean the inside windows upstairs.shes took the the mirror film off the glass and its the adhesive thats left behind thats shes struggling to clean off.shes used hot soapy water with scourers(im sure shes used the wrong ones and scratched the glass!!)so what do you think i should use to get it off?
i was thinking of white spirit or meths?im very busy at the moment so it wont be getting done until weekend.havent time to order stuff online.
ill take my 4 in scraper with a new blade in it as well.
any ideas lads?
regards

yup it was but this stuff had been on for 5 years ... best to scrape as much off as you can before putting the stuff in the tin on a rag and basically elbow grease .... I think the fumes helped the time pass a lot quicker

Dont use turps/white spirit, it will end up worse and only spread it round the glass, scrape, scrape and scrape again, take plenty of blades too, and keep wetting the glass when scraping, if there is any residue left I find cellulose thinners does the trick...
