If it's really cold as in the other winter it's a pita. I have a van mount Pure Freedom system and a small utility room at home and no garage where I can house the van. The poles and reel has to come inside as does the booster pump (that boosts water supply to RO from (2.5bar to 7/8 bar)), and the water supply and waste hoses. I have to remove the hozelock connecters underneath the van at night and reattach them in the morning and put a greenhouse heater in the van at night. I also have to drain down the tap in the garage to stop it freezing - which rarely works but I live in hope. Adds an hour and a half to the day all in all.
Then when you get out at 10am you find the water freezing on the glass 'cos the hoze is lying in snow. I've even parked my van such that the sun strikes the reel in an effort to keep it "warm" whilst I work. Then there's the ice-rink-beneath-the-window and the "am i gonna get sued when the little old lady breaks her hip on the ice i created", so you end up chucking salt everywere.
And you get in at 3:30 and its already -2. Joy.
