Hiya Stuart

I helped pack your system myself.

The pipe is quarter inch. The RO comes with about 2 metres of each pipe needed as standard. I put about 30 to 35 ft extra quarter inch pipe in with your stuff along with a connector. The extra pipe we supplied you is very good stuff and wont kink easily at all. I think that if you are carefull when laying it you should be fine.

Very good idea about putting it into that other pipe with insulation by the way.

I wouldnt mind a pic or two of this being done.  :)

Hope all is well with what we talked briefly about the other day mate.

Cheers

Andrew

on the note of running it through some 22mm copper then fitting insulation to that

not a good idea, as the you will have a cold air void inside the 22mm

it would be a better idea to run hosepipe with the pipe insulation around THEN a connection to the 6mm pipe, thus the water would be in the hosepipe

i was going to use 22mm plastic water pipe not copper it will also be under the ground about 6 inches covered with cement     do you think this will be ok in the hardest frosts next year as once its in its not going to be able to be got up
with out breaking all the cement so i want it right first time  plus does it matter how high the pipe is as it goes in to the water butts as the top of the butts are about 5 feet above the ground level does this restrict the flow from the ro/di   thanks stu    please reply    mate ;D

In a previous posting why not run the pipe through a pipe packed with sand and salt?
