..finally battery and varistream problems
« on: November 23, 2012, 12:28:30 pm »
so its finally happened to me!no smug grins from me today!! >:( >:(

so charged battery overnight on pure freedom trolley.green light on this morning indicating full charge.got to my first job and turn varistream on and its just stuck on 0 and wont go up!checked wiring and fuse.all fine.got home and put battery on charge.red light showing.pump not working at all.so another day off.

ive been thinking about buying a pump box for a while now to replace having a big 50L trolley in the back of my van so ive ordered a full streamline box with 100 psi pump,85ah deep cycle battery and digital varistream.

i ordered it from cleaning spot and they said it would get delivered tomorrow.i hope so as i can then get it plumbed in ready for monday.

anyone else had this problem?maybe its just my battery thats knackered but ill keep the trolley as a spare plus ill have a bit more room in the back of van.

it wasnt cheap though.£438 including VAT and saturday next day delivery.

i could of got all the parts separate and built a pumpbox myself cheaper but im not really into DIY and couldnt be bothered.im more of a "plug it in and go" sort of guy!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

also i have 2 screws missing(a few people have said that to me over the years!)on my old varistream box.they are spring loaded.do you know where i can get them from?i do want to see if i can get the pure freedom trolley up and running again for emergency back up.

thanks guys for putting up with my little rant!!

best wishes to you all

Yes, me; I'm pretty sure I've got an old knackered varistream box; e-mail me your address and I'll stick it in the post for you and you can use the screws outa that.

Hi tony basically you have pump, battery and digital varistream in one box and simply plug in from tank outlet and other inlet in box straight to hosereel and away you go.it'll save having a big trolley in my van that doesn't get used!!! ;D

Hi Dazmond, do you really need to use a Trolley? If so, can't you do without those jobs? I haven't used a backpack or trolley for years and really don't need to take on jobs like that. :)

Just another thing to go wrong isn't it....

hi tim ive been wfp for 2 and a half years now mate and been using the trolley from day one.the last year and a half ive been using it as a van mount hooked up to my 350L tank.

the pump box will certainly not take up as much space in the back of my van.

i just want to get it sorted this weekend and get cracking from monday as only 4 full weeks until xmas and ive had the whole of this week off.

its served me well and ive had no problems with it in the last 30 months.time for a change now.

regards

I just use an old car battery, no controller, 400l tank, water lasts all day with some left over
