Why not just clean with 000  ???

Because it is not necessary to get perfect results. If I changed my resin as soon as it reached 001 then it would cost me a lot more.

Besides selling you business as pure water Window cleaning is only 000 to parts per million, so if you measured your water with a meter that measured parts per billion, then the chances are it would not be pure, so are you really cleaning with pure water at 000 parts per million if you want to get funny about it?

it wouldnt cost you a lot more at all as soon as resin starts to go over 001 it rises sharpish your saving very little but risking a lot more if you want to be funny about it! this is true if you think about it (please don't shout at me) :)

Parts per billion is overkill and god knows what that does to your hands

It doesnt rise sharpish! I've had the same resin for 20 months and I have not changed it. It is bringing the water down to 009, if I changed it everytime it started producing at 001, I would have spent a lot more money when there isn't a need too.

Not if you had two resin vessels.

I now do this rather than investing in new Merlin membranes. They need replacing but with a second di vessel I am getting loads more life out of resin.

I have the small resin container and fill 250ltr container, the tds is 000, I then change it. I will not fill up another 250ltrs as it would shoot up.
I never clean with tds over 001
