My first vehicle was a bicycle ;D  I used to ride round with my ladder on my shoulder and a bucket strapped on the carrier.  Got fresh water at each stop from the first customer.

That's dangerous.  It's quite a long fall from those penny farthings.

Yes, but the ladder was very handy for getting on and off ;D

Honda civic with a halfords roof rack a secondhand ladder from my uncle and a bucket. I can still remember fitting that roof rack and the very first window I cleaned.

Intersting question. Made me think about my 'work car history':

Mk I Golf
Datsun Cherry
Peugeot 205
VW Polo
Astra
Volvo 240
Peugeot 405
Cavalier
Escort Van (Turned WFP in 2006)
Vauxhall Brava Pickup
Movano Van (Died after 8 weeks and I lost £2k on it)
Picasso and trailer
Seat Inca

Made me think too ooh the memories......
Hillman hunter
Triumph Toledo
Austin maestro
Talbot solara
Ford sierra
Citroen bx
Vw passatt
Presently a vw transporter the first vehicle I got just for work. Oh the memories stinky cloths and damp cars over the 28 years I've been a windy.  :D

Starting off:-

In 1997 I used the family car - a 1986 Volvo 240 Estate 2.3 petrol.

Then a 1991 Honda Accord Aerodeck Estate 2.2 petrol auto - had aircon and cruise control and drank fuel like a drinky thing from drinksland.

Followed by:-

2006 Doblo 1.3 diesel van with a 400L tank
which then had a trailer with 200L added when Dan the Man joined me.
(and now which Dan the Man gets the use of and is a second van for heavy
days, gutter vacuuming and trailer pulling and which has a 200L wfp tank.)

Now the main vehicle is a Hyundai iload bought earlier this year.

It's a game of three halves!
