So use a different organisation to train your staff. Impact 43 are probably no better or worse than a lot of them out there. It's an open market out there. Use google. Ask other cleaning companies who theyve used, if you're prepared to listen. I suspect people on here aren't prepared to listen they just want a scrap and see it as easy pickings.

People keep banging on about H&S, looking for an answer, when in fact the answer to their specific question doesn't exist.  H&S for the sole-trader is 95% common sense. H&S for the employer so far as he is concerned is 5% common sense, the other 95% is what courses are all about.

Self-employed sole-trader falls off a ladder, breaks his leg and that's the only damage done, no consequences.

Employee falls off ladder breaks his leg, but you've sent him on ladder safety awareness course, have supplied all correct equipment, adequateinsurance, have records of courses etc and not expecting or asking employees to work under dangerous conditions as an employer you should be covered.

If you're a sole trader, use your brain, common sense, as an employer use your brain, common sense and get yourself and staff suitably equipped.
