think this spec tends to be whats required.

got gearbox so a little more than a non gerrbox pressure washer.

18 FSC on wheels

turbo nozzle

prob just under £2000 for everything.

Johnny,
Depending on what kind of work you want to do depends on what pressure washer and accessories you will need,
second hand gear could be dodgy its pot luck there. the other thing is , there are cheap chinese copy hondas about dont touch them .  if you are looking to do the likes of drives patios decking plastic restoring and claddining cleaning give me a ring  , i have some showroom equipment for sale which will cope professionally with the above type of work.
this will include a stainless steel rotary (Whirlaway) and a 15 mtr drain cleaner.
call me on 07771523669 im in Northumberland.

would a Karcer G4.10 pressure washer be ok for small house driveways  and a patio cleaner added, as a starter to get into this field of work.

Im no expert far from it but at 7 litres a minute Im sure its not enough.

Every where I ask Im told you need a min of 15 litres per minute.

You can get away with 12 lpm for a decent clean using lances, but it will be slow - so not very good if you want to earn a decent amount in a day

would this be ok for good startup washer,  KIAM 3400p     or KIAM 2800p,   both heavy commercial,   if i buy one i want one to keep and not have to upgrade if i get a bigger job,      forward wishfull thinking,    i am trying to build something up so when my son leaves school he has an income if it will take off.   any help in starting up in pressure cleaning would be very gratefull,  as to benefits and pitfalls,      i usually look at the worst bits first.   i know its a bit late in the year,  but if i can get gear maybe in a sale over winter i will be ready come spring.  i know theres some good experienced guys on here with valuable experience.  thanks up front.,  i can be contacted at email  ,  ts1cleaning@gmail.com

You probably won't like this but "buy nice or buy twice". Don't buy a Kiam. But a minimun of 15 ltrs/min - better 21, preferable to have diesel as the fuel saving will pay for the extra in no time. Yanmar, Honda, or Lombardini (which I have and am very pleased)  as spares are available. Reputable pump so you can buy seals and valves. Run the pump from a tank or wheely bin to promote pump life - through a good strainer. A FSC works better with higher flows but a turbo is a must. A hot box and wet blaster can be added later but buy good gear which will last. I still have my original Honda/interpump where a Karcher sits on the shelf having died.

Are you giving up window cleaning or just cutting down?

no not giving up windows,    you will never get a wage equivelent to window cleaning,    my son leaves schol next year,     not the sharpest tool in the box,   but a decent lad,    im looking to try pressure cleaning  as i know from customer drives that they need doing.      i will be able to practise on theres and give a discounted rate to gain experience,   if i get gear i will be ready for early spring to get established.    he can then earn some experience and some cash.  he might turn out like my other son and laugh and say    how embarrasing.  they have no idea untill they leave school.
