Pole advice please
« on: November 15, 2012, 04:42:53 pm »

I have a clx 27 which pretty much does most work.

I have however picked up a lot of big properties that are 3 storey and then have a velux/skylight window. I am struggling to reach them as the pole just reaches the height but when I adjust the angle to reach them its not long enough.I know that a longer goose neck would help in some situations but prefer have an additional pole.

I defo want a gardiner pole(not interested in facelift) but would you recommend slx35 or smax 40.I have been advised on here all ways buy the best you can afford rather than regret it later.

Any advise guys cheers

I would go for the longest I could afford but ...

Also one that can be "added to".

It's a game of three halves!

I have the slx 35 it's great for 3 storey work but with velux window on top and with them being set back in the roof you may struggle.I would say get the smax40 it's better to have the extra ft when needed than not enough.

Above 30/35ft I would recommend the Xtreme. Yes it's more expensive but it blows the pants off everything else & can be reduced or added to. ;)

i bought an SMAX 40 a few months ago and use it on a few commercial and large domestics.also useful for solar panel cleaning.its a pretty decent pole.light for the length and fairly rigid when used straight up.

i cant justify the cost of an extreme as i havent got a lot of work higher than my 25ft SLX.

if i get any work higher still i can always add a couple of sections to my SMAX 40 to make it to 50 ft but i cant see that happening anytime soon!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!
