Started using mine last week...brilliant piece of kit.
It's 18 litres but todays first job was a single room.
Made up 2.5 litres and it worked fine, I like a fresh
batch for each job if possible and thought I'd have
to mix at least 4 litres for it to work.
It actually pumps till it's empty.
Only thing I find now is that I tend to put more down.

Mine packed in after a while and lots have been returned as water gets into them

I got a Sherpa one, better design but battery nowhere near as good as WCW one

Mine started to take in water to places it shouldn't be.

Take it to bits and replace all the hose clips with better quality hose clips is what I did.

It's been fine since.

It's a shame they are so shoddily put to gether (internally), because they are a good bit of kit, but as I say, if you buy a new one, replace all the hose clips and it will be fine.

Get some electrical insulation tape and go round the lip between the base and the body, or use a bigger funnel.

love mine

go to Poundland, get one of their neoprene back supports for a quid, fits perfectly round one of these and serves 2 purposes - you can slot the lance down it and it stays upright (otherwise having no lance holder is a pain) and it also protects against water going down the outside of the sprayer to the base.

i cut my neoprene support in two - one half at the top, one nearer the bottom - supports the lance better

then get 10m hose from WCW - leave the sprayer in the hall and you can get to most of the ground floor without carrying it

mention you want it for carpet cleaning and you will get the lance, good thing about the lance is you can just take the long shaft off and attach the tip straight to the trigger assembly and use it on upholstery - i just vary the jet

in comparison to other sprayers i have had i love this the best and a bargain (i've had plastic and stainless over the years) - half what you can pay for a stainless and bigger capacity and no pumping!

check if they have them on ebay first - WCW sell them on there with buy it now with the make an offer option - got mine for a bargain!!

 They leak through the internal filter, just make sure it's tight before use.

It's a classic case of a good idea made down to a price.

A bit more thought in its overall design would make it perfect for carpet cleaners but then it would cost more which is fine as £140 is good value to begin with.
