transfer pump hose question
« on: November 14, 2012, 08:37:31 pm »
Hi all,

I have got a transfer pump from purefreedom.

The hose is 25mm and its going through my wall into a lockable safe. I need a male and female quick release but I can't find any.

Do they exist?
Where can I get them?

I have tried plumbing merchants etc they only supply fixed fittings for that size.

Help please

Cheers Darren

I got my fittings from an hydraulic pipe suppliers company, these types of outlets stock quite a variety of hose connectors and fittings, including Rectus etc. Yellow pages time for your local suppliers methinks.  ;D

Yeah, these are similar to the company I used to get my fittings. Had a quick look on their site. I bet they can sort you out if you go in person and take a piece of pipe with you! As trawling through a website can be tedious and probably won't list all that they stock or can aquire for you. I just hope they are as friendly and helpful as mine were for me.

Machine Mart have some male/female connectors that screw together. We have used them for years.

Let us know if you find anything because I've always wanted a 25mm quick release fitting. My transfer hose steps down to 1/2" hose and so the tank takes longer to fill.

I've just never wanted to take tank cap off each time to fill up as this is when dirt gets in what with hoses being dragged across the floor etc.
