Well that was awkward
« on: November 14, 2012, 07:54:49 pm »
Did a regular clean today, its a large block of old folks apartments. normally takes me most of the day but I enjoy it.
Was on the last section near the main entrance when this old fella walks past towards the door. "Have you done a good job of my windows" he says laughing.
"of course" says I Laughing back at him. But don't look too closely at them!
At that point I look at him for the first time, to see him bending down with his face about 3 inches from the door to see where the lock is whilst holding his collapsible white stick between his knees.   8)

Don't worry he said. not much chance of that. Thankfully he smiled at me and walked inside

i once did a pressure cleaning job for a lady who wore really dark glasses and had a guide dog , when finished i knocked to tell her i had been really carefull to make sure garden furniture and planters had been put back exactly where they came from so she should not trip over them, she replied thankyou very much the job you have done looks really good, i never twigged at the time what she had said but later had a laugh with co worker about what a flippin clever guide dog she had to tell her that ;D
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

I've got 2 blind customers.
Have to be extra specially thorough cause if their friends/relatives etc see even 1 spot they will think you're taking the pi$$ and the customer will bin me.
Who are they gonna believe?!

I've got three.
And they're all mice, funnily enough.

I once reversed my car onto the white stick of a blind man; trapping him there.

That was awkward.

A few years later I now clean his windows; luckily enough he doesn't know it was me that ran over his stick.
