One trad the rest wfp
« on: November 13, 2012, 05:10:57 pm »
Been cleaning this little street on my round for about 7 years now and i have about 9 houses in it, last year I switched over from trad to wfp but one long serving customer right in the middle of them won't do the water fed at all..
Do I keep cleaning around him with wfp then trad his at the end or tell him it's wfp only??
He has no reason for not wanting wfp just refuses point blank to have it done  :-\

Tell him that your insurance won't cover you for ladder work any more and that if he is not happy you will refund him. But either way it is your way or the highway.

Do you tell him how to do his job ??
If he has always been a good customer and you don't want to loose him I would talk to him and explain that if he is not happy after they dry then you will refund his money and try to put him in touch with a good trader
But I would tell him it's this way or no way as far as you're concerned
Thanks,

When we changed over we offered to clean the window wfp, and if they were not 100% happy they would get the job done for free.

I got a few customers who don't like WFP because they don't like water running down their wall or their patio getting wet.

I don't mind cleaning windows the trad way if that what the customers  prefer as long it only two story's high, if it take you longer to clean then charge him more or just tell him you will no longer clean his windows if you don't want to go up the ladder anymore.

it all depends on how you are doing? ...if you need the custie for finances , then do it till you can replace him with another....

apart from that , I would tell them that it,s wfp or nothing as that is the way you clean!!

some custards are beyond pleasing ???

If he's a good custy then offer to do them once for free. If he says no then at least you can decide to keep or dump.
If he says yes then you may convert him and you'll get your time back over the next couple of cleans by not having to get your trad gear out.

depends how much he pays,   you can use his money to buy something like some telescopic ladders,  just throw them in your vehicle.  knowing he has financed them,   then drop him. unless you get on with him.  some you dont mind dropping    but finance rules this.

Chuck him.
Sets a bad example to go up the ladder for everyone else.

You could try to win him over by offering to clean them and he only pays if he likes the result.

Or dump him.

If I liked the guy I'd try to win him over, if I didn't like the guy I'd dump the account.

I wouldn't use ladders.

rogivevthem the choice wfp or you can only trad downstairs and leave the top
Sometimes it is better to walk away from a job than tondo something your not happy with, let them dictate your business and its a slippery slope
I would explain it offer guarantees and get them to try it first if not I would replace them with more suitable work
