Battery (HELP!)
« on: November 08, 2012, 12:29:31 am »
Hi   all,

I have freedom trolley that I run as van mount; I use golf trolley battery (pure drive 12v  22amp)

Was looking to get leisure battery like all you pros.

Seen this one on amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leisure-Battery-88ah-Caravan-Applications/dp/B003U3Z5ZE/ref=pd_sim_auto_12

My question is how do you connect up to pump?
What I mean is my current dying battery has small screws with ring connectors on, the battery on amazon seems it has bigger terminals on/ or is there 2?

Do you guys use crocidile clips to connect from battery to varistream/pump?
I have pure freedom smart charger; will that charge a leisure battery?

I haven't a clue and you can guess and need a battery pronto was gonna order another golf trolley batttery 12v 22amp but £45 for the bit extra I thought leisure battery?

HELP ;D
Any links to batteries and relavant connectors much appreciated ;)

Just use what ever size crocodile clips are needed.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

Lee just pop into halfords or motor shop and you can buy terminal clamps for the battery ( like the ones on your car )
they are a universal fit put these on the batt and they have a hole with securing screw for the wire

Thanks very much for pic Darran,

Anyone know if you can get Battery from Halfords I'm sure I remember someone posting that but not make/model.

Looked in halfords yesterday and guy showed me 12v (360 amp :o) battery
I take it that's unsuitable.

People on here use 85-110 amp don't they?
Does anyone know shop/chain like halfords that sell leisure battery, so i can get at weekend?

Thanks Lee

i think thats the battery i have. i have had it for 2 years now, still good. mine was from ebay £58

get some quick release battery terminals off ebay. that way you can just pop the terminals off, and you know nothing is draining power.
