the bad payer register
« on: November 07, 2012, 09:45:02 pm »
i keep reading of bad payers and ive had my share too, more so in recent times.im talking of folk who ignore reminders, dont answer door etc ,not just a slow payer, i mean ones who dont pay

howsabout we list any bad uns ,just the address , to warn each other so we dont get them ourselves. cos a bad payer never changes

you would have to delete the entry if they moved on.  i can start here .

I think it's a very good idea although not sure about the legality.
If by sharing data we could effectively get an address blacklisted that may be illegal under the description of running a cartel.
Still a very good idea though !

I doubt its legal under the data protection act.

Plus you are blacklisting an address not a person... So if someone new moved into that address it wouldn't be fair.

As long as no names are put up, no laws are being broken

great idea, we discussed this paul sometime back , dont forget that bloke in oneof thewingsof that stately home in east grinstead i think it was along the holtye road.

My input to this list is all of Biggin Hill.

data protection my arse - lets start the list, we are the ones that need protecting from these scum non payers not them from us writing down and sharingtheir name and address. I have about 5 or10 names and addresses onmy database atthe office that iwillhappily share with localwindowcleaners.

I'm not saying that James of Mayes Park, Warnham is a bad payer but I cleaned the windows at the multi-roomed, three storey, rented property at Mayes House, Warnham for him about a year ago and still haven't received my £200 (it was a very hard day's graft and marginally underpriced too).
He made it clear it was only a one off but I thought that it might be just about worth doing due to the size of the job.
So, anyone who covers the Horsham (West Sussex) area, be aware of this character.

You know, the funny thing was I had a feeling in my gut that I chose to ignore.

If he's reading this, tough.  So sue me you **** .

I know it's bad to pre judge, but I have started to go with my gut feeling....
it seems to be more accurate with time and experience

So far Ive not seen anyone listed who is remotely likely to take me on as their window cleaner as the nearest so far is 113 miles away.

Dont you think these mad hair-brained thoughts through at all before you post them?

Mark Twain said something once along the lines of 'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.'

If you want a list of customers that are likely to try to pull a fast one around the small patch I work in dont bother, there's only been 1 in 14 years.

C'mon, I can't be bovered to amend posts calling each other names, I'll just delete 'em and put your names on my list of naughty members.

And if it carries on, I'll delete your accounts.

There are ways to express yourself without overtly resorting to name calling; please try to use them, if you have the intelligence to do so (see what I did there?).
