Not sure about the split relay aspect but what I can tell you is after work tomorrow I am taking out a nearly new Varistream Digital and replacing it with a Gardiners 'Spring' controller due to the Varistream totally undermining the condition of the battery which has been more or less fully charged.

The new Varistream Digital has caused me nothing but trouble and lost earnings.

I'm currently using around 500l on average per day

If you're by yourself, that's a lot of water.  Two of us (one part time; Wor Lass just works mornings) get through about 600 litres on a normal day, and neither of us use flow controllers.

Do you think it's possible that you're being overly fussy and spending a long time on each window and therefore using a lot of water?

Just a thought.

I'm not sure Tosh, it's not that I'm being fussy, I'm certainly using less when I do a day of 'second' cleans roughly 400 ish.

Ah, I see you're transitioning.  Yeh, 400 litres sounds right for day's work on domestic; obviously factors depending.

As you get more experienced you will work faster; it just happens; and when your flow controller conks out, before you buy another, reconnect the pressure switch and have a go with no controller - just pump and battery (and a cheap on/off switch).

It gives a great flow of water, you can work really quickly, and there's no flow controller to mess you about.
