New feature - What's in your van?
« on: November 06, 2012, 06:40:41 am »
Hey check out what is in Richard Clue's van here:

http://youtu.be/yxudd5sa-nw

Richard likes to make stuff and although he is practically all DIY, it is surprising how neat his home made stuff really is. Love the pump pack he made and the spiral wfp tubing is just genius.

Spiral tubing isn't exactly genius is it? Who wants to support all that extra water up the pole.

Can't wait for next months 'What's In Your Sandwich Box?'

my take on his van set up?

rubbish poles and brushes

rubbish gloves(not waterproof)

i use microbore instead of minibore(easier to manage)

pump set up with 25L barrel........erm.....not for me!

folding warning signs are rubbish(they blow over when its windy)

i prefer unger ergotech squeegees rather than the cheap ones he s got.

he looks like a young wagga!!fair play if it works for him! ;D ;D ;D ;D

some people just like faffing about scrimping and scraping and making things to go with their set up.i have better things to do with my time when not window cleaning!lol. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

good video though lee!! ;) :) :) :)

best wishes to everyone

say what you see daz:)

if that was at vanfest , it looks like he just bunged some diy stuff together to impress

THose harris poles with all that gear hanging off look good sat in the van but will require non stop faffing about fixing once you start working with it all as it will get knocked and the hose will snag and it makes it look well heavy with all that spiral hose

not for me

clx for £100 cant go wrong

Same here. That was interesting.

My van is a muddle inside. I'm constantly having to move one thing to get at something else. Maybe I need to get my thinking cap on.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

Spiral tubing is just madness. Think of the weight of that pole.

actually dazmond that pump idea is actually good idea just not the way he is using it
great idea for people who use cars not vans who dont want a tank can carry barrels in car
and use as mini van system and if necessay pack away at night.

didnt see point of spiral hose mind you

lets not forget these faffers are the innovators who generally give manafacturers
their ideas for making your job so straight forward

dont be so quick to knock ;)

best wishes

Gary

Daz Mate, I think you have forgotten your roots remember when you were trad and took a long time to even decide which pole to buy.We all start at the bottom, the Lad is getting it together. I am sure his results are just as good as any. Harris is still a good pole served me well till I had the cash to go better.

He must have spent ages doing all the details, but to me it does not look like a working van . . . . just a show van !

I think he also has OCD .

Nice tidy van with some good ideas Daz you should not knock the bloke really , He has given things a lot of thought and spend a good bit time doing it .

But cant understand using spiral hose it will 4-5 times heavier than standard pole hose and most probably more expensive . It most be some weight to clean at height . Mike

can't agree more with the above - i remember a time when  Dazmond posts and threads were regarded as highly as
richywilts is today !

give the guy a break - he's trying his best and shouldn't be slagged off for that
