Whos liable
« on: October 29, 2012, 08:08:22 pm »
While cleaning a row of town houses today I left the rear doors on my van open.
A guy living on the end house trying to reverse out past the van hit my right door causing damage.
Hes saying that its as much my fault as his because the opened doors were hard to see making
them a hazard.
Is he right.

yes just let your insurer decide, he is at fault though, but no need to tell him just phone the insurer, by the way it is illegal to reverse onto a main road from a drive ;)

If you open a door to the flowing traffic,it's your fault. But what if the door was already open?
