I am no expert but I can't see why it would not work, you could just buy some downpipe and a few bits to find out, probably not much use over 1st floor but it is a start, and if it isn't up to it you have the poles and just need a slightly more powerful vac

Ben M , i dont usually have a pop chap , but since you got your big vac you been full of it , what with your carbon poles and all that , you started out with a clarke and ally poles and it did the job , correct me if im wrong ?
I still use ally poles and a 1400w vac it works the same as yours but on occasion could take a little bit longer , i have vid footage as to what a 1400 can do , dont just slate it cos you have moved on , after all i bet it was the clarke that gave you the assets and the will power to spend bigger and move on and up

Dont take it the wrong way chief , just saying what i see !

Same as...when my clarke earns me enough dollar i might look at getting a super beast, but until then it might take a bit longer on each job but it's still earning me a half decent wage!! ;)

you are right Rich but if a new buyer can afford,he should buy first a good vac and carbon poles, i am tired of heavy poles and slow vac, if you want to do good work and able to do few houses a day, buy good equipment first!

rg - these threads always go the same way - if you've brought a larger vac then you have wasted your money

1400 gutter vacs will i'm sure do a standard house even a heavily overflowing gutter but several times i've seen
owners of these state they then use ladders to unblock the downpipe

to me thats crazy a 3000w + should and will pull out embedded roots and muck from the downpipe plus i can put a 20 mtr flexi pipe on it and suck around an entire house without moving the vac

yes it needs a larger genny but this just stay's on the van so no hassle their either.

Darran

I even pulled up a tennis ball that was lodged halfway down the downpipe on one job and as you say, roots or whatever are no problem.

i don't keep my genny on the van. Instead I use a wheelchair ramp and I am able to get it on and off the van on my own without too much hassle.

Dont know what to do now , don't really have the money to buy a system but have three people asking , can't find anyone who has used a numatic George for gutter cleaning to ask them .

Do I just use a ladder for now ?

We were referring to DOWNPIPES. Not gutters  ;)
