[DG Cleaning]

Custy comes out while I'm wfp her front windows (it's a bungalow and I wfp the fronts cos they are awkward and trad the rest) and says "the windows aren't as good now you've started using that pole thing" so I asked her which ones to which she replied "all of them" when I explained that I trad the rest she said she'd only looked at the ones done with a pole. Can't get my breath

had that last week, started doing downstairs wfp a few months ago, last month the guy said they were not drying right, so I said I would wait until they were dry and correct if any problems, so I continued with the street and came back to check, sure enough the front window was leeching badly from a seal, but the rest was just fine, so I re cleaned the front window trad to keep the peace when the wife returned, all was good until last week, I did all the windows apart from the front which I did trad, and continued on my way, the wife chases me down the street saying oh are you not squeeging the downstairs any more, me no just the front window as that was a problem, her but you redid all the windows last time, me no I never just the front the rest dried fine.

yeah right, as I said fine no problem and walked off and said and cancel my son's too, me ok no problem, he is a bit out of my way anyway, when she realised I wasn't backing down she said I may ask you again if I can't manage them sure no problem but I will be sticking the price up, never said that bit though, under priced job from 5 years ago

Someone has to invent something to add in to our pure water,

that will make bubbles so it will look like we are using soap.

Any ideas?

your right, when i first use my hose it comes out with loads of bubbles, because of the air in it, then after while it clears....

Half expecting her to ask me to go back to trad, we'll see. Later on today I went and did my most exacting customer (she does the insides at least once a week) to do her windows wfp for the second time I was half expecting some grief, but she likes it. So if hers are good I must be doing something right.

for windies that have been going years trad and then changeover to Wfp theyd handle the potential aggro allright but newbies going straight out Wfp will really feel the heat of a tongue lashing and i bet its disheartening if you cant trad/ladder  to get yourself out of the poop

 likely much more severe of a tongue lashing on the council estates- i mostly work on those and have never seen a WFP lad doing council style houses in the 5 yrs ive been agoing .

personally i believe that Wfp is probably better suited to bigger houses that the trad lads hate to do .

I had one who requested I go back to trad. I took her on there & then until she admitted that the windows dried perfect everytime!!

Her actual reason was that she was seeing me trad the house over the road & THAT just seemed better value for money!! WTF!!

Needless to say..........she was dumped!

A lot of window cleaners starting straight off using wfp don't seem to do a very good job and some seem to think all it takes is a quick brush and an equally quick rinse.

I did a large'ish 4 bedroom house last week and the lady had tried 3 window cleaners over the past 2 years using wfp. With her it wasn't so much the price (£25) but the end result. She also commented that two of them was done and finished in about 20 minutes and the last bloke promised sparkling clean glass but did the job, she reckons, in about 10 minutes.

That first clean took me just over an hour. As I'd told her not to pay me unless she was satisfied, I called back and checked on my way home. The result, one very very happy 4 weekly customer.

What i don`t get is do folk tell the dentist how to fill teeth or there hairdressing how to cut hair. No they don`t then why should we put up with this crap just because the customer thinks they can also clean window. Believe me if they could they would.The reason they use us is because they cannot clean windows. Don`t be rube but put your foot down and take charge of your industry.WE own it not the customer.They only pay for the results not the method.

Im a 'newbie' to setting up, but not to wfp.
For all new customers on the first clean,i dont collect untill the evening just so 'they can see they dry perfectly clear'.
Not had a problem yet, fingers crossed.
Also noticed from moving north to south, wfp is ALOT better revieved around these parts.

Istarted out about a year and half ago using wfp never used trad yet, only had 1 complaint on first clean where water got into air vent and left dirty streeks on window thats only time someone dropped me because they didnt like wfp be very careful now not to go near air vents or top of frames with water flow on(turn it off) also had a few wondering why i wasnt squeeging water off but just hand them an info sheet on wfp and that seems to keep them happy.

i did a house today he had funny eyes like slits instead of eyes he said what you doing i said cleaning your windows ohh how long you had that, 18 months, why you clean mi now, because my hips fuked, then him and his cohabitant started to talk funny like them who eat a lot of freid lice i think they were from china coz i rember once in a chip shop  they were talking like them ,wah yer wong any way got talking to him and said were your bin he said nothing to do with you, i said no were you wheelie been he said wah yu wong oh neaver mind,he said i left a lot of spots on his windows, no ive not, you want to get some proper eyes like me you have to wait till they dried if you not happy ill send splish and splash down next time if you not happy chappie.
