Lost Airflex Turbo
« on: October 17, 2012, 03:06:43 pm »
I could cry!

Just got home, reversed into drive and noticed  van rear tailgate is wide open!

Have lost or had stolen my portable and spotter box.

If any one hears of an Airflex Turbo being sold in the leeds area please contact me on 07891 911065.

It has the letters YCC (Yorkshire Carpet Care) stenciled in yellow on the body. The spotter box is a grey Festool Systainer.

I'm now off for a good cry.  :'(

Thanks Daren

Put a listing on Gumtree and ebay, local paper and your website, maybe offer a reward for info leading to recovery etc. Add a picture and serial number if you have it, if not you should be able to get from Cleansmart. Might as well let them know too they might get offered it. You may be covered by insurance some will cover stolen gear.

Best of luck i'd be gutted.

had all my gear stolen some years ago Darren, its a horrible feeling. I have bits and pieces you can have, only problem is I'm in Ireland. Maybe someone closer could help out if only on a temporary basis. Keep going, don't let the B*****ds win.

Hope you get it back in one piece Daren.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

What rotten luck- there was someone local who had his machine nicked while he bought his lunch.
I know it's too late but this is a good reason to have the machine securely tethered in the van.
It won't fall out, it won't come over the top and hit you if you have to stop in a hurry and it makes it more difficult to nick in a hurry, especially if the front tether is harder to get at.
Medium weight ratchet lines are only a few quid. Two decent ones for less than £20.
Elastic straps are not good enough to hold the weight of a machine.
God must love stupid people---He made so many.

The spotter box is a grey Festool Systainer.

This is fairly rare in the carpet cleaning world.

Hey mate - I have just bought an Airflow Storm so have my Craftex Grace not being used. It is in full working order and if it will help you keep going you can borrow it. Let me know - we can sort out a meet.
I am in Bourne Lincolnshire.  info@homerevive.co.uk

Thanks very much for all the advice and offers of machines to borrow, luckily i run a prowler and mainly used the Airflex for matress/upholstery cleaning.

No sign of the machine turning up, spoke to 'city- watch' which monitor all the  cctv cameras, no joy.

Contacted local radio to get them to announce my loss over the air, no joy.

Checked all local lost and found agencies, no joy.

Am keeping an eye on e-bay, viva street etc, you never know.

Its like loseing a close friend, but far worse!!! :(

I'm sure I will get over it,

in about 12 years!!

I had a van cleared of my entire gear about 10 years ago. What I missed most was the customised wands, hose joiners, etc ..

Worst of all was the fact that it was my own fault for not locking the van !!!!!
