Gardiners left handed clamps ?
« on: October 16, 2012, 09:27:55 pm »
I am left handed, so when I am using the gardiner poles I have to have the clamps facing towards the floor !

Does anyone know if you can have the clamps made to open from left to right ?

Thanks,  they do say left handed people are more intelligent , but as you can see from my post it is false!

I can think of two solutions

but can I ask what hand holds the pole and what tightens and open the clamps?

so do I blue frog, so I am confused, anyway just adjust the brush so the clamps are where you want them

I open with left thumb and close with left thumb, if that makes sense

Exactly what i do Stuart ...

Hold pole with right hand, left thumb over the clamp to the right point and pull open, left thumb pushes the right point  when closing.

When im using the pole then its right hand at the base and left hand higher up supporting

mine do open left to right, I put my thumb under the lever and pull up to the right

sure you just don't need to position them correct by turning the sections until they are where you want

right I have been thinking about this, and maybe I am wrong, and I can't be bothered going out to my van to find out, but if you just remove the clamps, turn 180 degrees, i.e upside down, they would then be the way you want them

achh I don't know phone gardiners ;D

I am trying to imagine a clamp on a pencil here and my kid thinks I am nuts ;D

That's what I do now, but just thought it would be easier if the clamps opened the other way LOL  ;D
