I have the same issues with the gardiners yellow hose.... and i told them 2 weeks ago when i ordered a new pole.....i said the last lot i throw in the bin.... but they assured me it had been looked at and is now softer.its not, and today it was cold , and the hose was stiff as a board.i hate paying for anything that does not work properly!seen some clear stuff on ebay.... around £15 for 30 metres.
Buy some aqua-daptor pole hose.you won't regret it.in fact ill be replacing my supermax polehose as I just don't like it.its too soft and the hose tap just keeps leaking.

Dazmond may have some of the translucent red that we supplied for a short time before switching to orange, so it's pretty much the same, but the new dark red hose is stiffer, lower stretch and more suitable for hot water systems.Paul
