Pat,what i would do is to remove the neck even if you use force or even cut it off
then theres an addaptor that can be fitted in the end it has a thread to be able to take the other type of adjustable neck which is more common,

Im not as stupid as I look Steve.  Or should that be, I may be stupid but I don't look it?
Anyway, 30ft it will be.  But since I'm not an ex-para Liverpuddle, and I am 52 with heart disease and diabetes, every kilo I can shave off the weight of the pole is important to my future life prospects.

Thanks Glyn.  Bit more than I want to spend, and same problem with the neck as my 35' pole from ionics.
I've just got back from looking at the job again and I think 30' would be better.
But as light as I can get.  Thanks guys.
