So I have moved things a long a little bit today and would very much like your input.

We have decided to survey window cleaners to establish the following;
Which poles have broke?
What part of the pole broke?
How did it brake? Accident? Heavy Use?
And what happened with getting parts replaced? What was the poles warranty? Did you have to pay for it? Was it free but you had to pay for delivery?

( there may be other questions)

With the answers we are going to come up with real life tests that correlate with actual accidents in the market place... then test selected poles to these tests.

Then afterwards we are going to have a bit of fun with destroying them completely. So far, we have a gun range lined up and Gok Wans brother Kowklyn Wan is ready to rip into them with his martial arts friends...... he says he has weapons too..... (not sure bout that bit lol)

We will film it all and upload for viewing. If this works we can produce an informative and yet still entertaining film.....

If he's anything like his brother I would suggest you wear "slip-on" shoes.
You won't want to be bending down to do your shoe laces up as he will be in there like a rat up a drain pipe.

Rather than destroy perfectly good poles, why not do a proper field test with them, send them out with window cleaners for a period of time, give them criteria to work to, and submit the results, then donate the poles to a needy cleaner, or auction them with the proceeds going to charity?

Absolutely ridiculous to shoot them etc, seems like you want to feed your ego and pretend you are the Top Gear of the window cleaning game.

I had the 3rd from top section of an 18 month old 30 foot Hybrid extel pole snap in half on me. Was just wear and tear, the fibres had thinned right out and i bounced it on a window to shut it.
