gutters and fascia boards
« on: September 24, 2012, 01:14:41 pm »
Hi Chaps,

Just asking if when you clean clients guttering (outside not the muck in the guttering) and facia boards with wfp, can you just reach up (if long enough pole) and scrub it down with the brush etc. or do you need something stronger like a pressure washer? I tought the waterfed pole saves all that climbing up ladders to reach the guttering.
I know it depends how dirty the guttering/fascias are, but in terms of normal dirty condition what is the best procedure and do we need different tools other than a standard brush too attach to the pole ?

I'm asking as i am going to go wfp in the near future and was looking to use the wfp for this and for conservatory roofs etc.

Any comments much appreciated, thanks in advance fellas.

Steve

Yep, you can use wfp for fascias, soffit boards, outside edges of gutters and downpipes and conny roofs.  ;)

Wfp on gutters is handy but I always find you still need the ladder at times for the bits of dirt the brush just can't get into.

Wfp gutters ... Just use the customers outside tap straight into ya pole ...

If ladder - I normally find just soapy water and a wet micro wipe is good enough

thanks guys, but just needed to know if just a standard brush will do the job - same brush as your windows or if you need other tools to get behind the guttering etc Not easy to get to the all of the fascia boards with a big clunky brush - thanks

You answered your own question  ;)   A used Gardiners brush is best for this job.
