My partner and i have been in contact with various recruitment agencies to get the low down on temp workers.
We are both stacked out/stressed out and worn out from work/children and frankly given up on seeking self-employed contractors. Most expect cash-in-hand for cleaning work.. WHY?? Or they are just terrible at the job!
Finding the time to meet potential sub-contractors is a nightmare, especially when you tell them that you require invoicing (not cash-in-hand) or you find out their experience/knowledge is from cleaning there own home!!
Ohhhh how different!!!
We understand each aspect of employing staff has it pitfalls, however the time wasting is our biggest issue.
This is why we have set our sights towards a Recruitment agency
We currently receive 3-10+ enquiries per week for our "End of Tenancy Clean" service alone and no staff to do the excess work-load! Not to mention the regular domestic cleaning and carpet cleaning.
Now we understand the basics of health and safety and have various docs made up for this and we currently have public liability, however if we were to use/hire a temp staff from a recruitment agency i am assuming we will need "Employers Insurance" as well?? Please correct me if i`m wrong!!
We have haggled some good rates of £8.90 so far and they only require 24 hours notice
Any input, advice welcome as i am sure there are arguments for/against.
Thank you!
