Hose help!
« on: September 15, 2012, 05:38:11 pm »
Can anyone help me on this one as its doing my head in!
I recently bought a 20m blue Non marking hose and after about 100m2 of block paving cleaning it started to leave blue marks everywhere. Contacted my supplier and they said they had not had this problem before. However, they very kindly sent me a replacement straight out to me. Low and behold the new one did the same.
I bought another blue no marking hose of another supplier the other day and guess what?!!!!  It's leaving blue marks all over the place! So that's 3 hoses all doing the same!

Can anyone recommend a supplier please before I make a nouse out of these 3 hoses and end all my problems!

That's a joke by the way. Please don't ring the Samaritans!

Buy black hose. All blue hose will mark (in my experience) its made and sold as food grade for use on smooth surfaces. monoblock etc is rough. i got 60m of used hose with my 2nd hand set up and it still marks occasionally. the hose will mark till its very used.

hi Simon
I also bought "non marking blue hose". All that happend to me was "I swapped a black mark for a. You got it. A blue mark. I find the blue cuffs mark more than the hoses.

Blue hose is rubbish, I would get it replaced FOC with your supplier, that's what I did when I started out.

The black hose I had in replacement wasn't much better.

The best I've had came with a hose reel and was from Jetmac. I did have a problem once, but this was self inflicted after using Hypo. After a proper washing off though all was well again.

Any hose that vibrates with the pulsing action of a pressure washer on a rough surface will chaff and leave a mark. Just clean awat from the washer and rinse back. I still have an original hose from when I started with no rubber left over the wires - that leaves little marks but you have to wear gloves clearing away
