ON THE BELL MAGAZINE

Hi all

I was phoned today to see if i would like to put an advertisement in ON THE BELL MAGAZINE which apparently is a magazine that goes out to police and fire stations.

The cost of the advertisement is £85 inc vat for a years advertising and I'll be the only contract cleaner in the east Anglia area so could be worth while.

The question I'm asking has anyone heard or had any dealings with this magazine, any good or bad experiences would be very much appreciated,

ive replied to john regarding this, but will put the reply on here in case anyone else gets contacted by them                                                                                                                                                                         " hi john, im ashamed to admit it but i used to be involved in support advertising, and thats what it is, your money for the ad supports the publication that only gets sent to the advertisers   i.e.  YOU! If you placed an ad with them, you will find all of a sudden you get contacted by every other publication in the land as they use each others publication as leads!!  the biggest culprits for emergency services publications are in liverpool, and they do On the bell! stay well clear mate!!    if i told you how much the rep gets paid per ad you would understand!!"

John,

I've not heard of it either.

But from an anecdotal point of view, the only mini-police station I know doesn't have windows; probably because disgruntled drunks would smash them, and the two fire stations I know don't have windows worth cleaning.

You might be better taking a different approach to advertising!

But I'm no marketing guru mind.

Most Police and fire services are under council or government contract for window cleaning so i wouldnt bother.
