i have a gardiners sill bush and a new mixed trim brush which cleans better than the sill brush.

How long should a brush last before you need to replace it to keep the optimum scrubbing power

I change mine every 6-12 months. Soon as bristles get too soft and start to split.

  The sill brush won't last long at all, I have had one on 3 weeks and it is looking very well used already with several lots of bristles missing.

  I have commented on this before, apparently the general consensus is my technique (although no one has seen it??), this will most probably be the last gardiners sill brush I have, it is the third one that has pretty much fallen to pieces.

  They are a good brush, but are just too fragile for the amount of work I expect them to do.

  I am going to try the new Unger Ntech brush, slightly larger and heavier, but am hoping more robusttoo.

i have been using a sl black soft brush for the last 4 1/2 years and still going strong

Ive just changed from the standard sl brushes to the extreme. The difference in my cleaning time was amazing that i went over windows again because i couldnt quite believe it cleaned that well so quickly.

If you want a brush to last you 12+ months the go for he sl range. I however am sticking with the extreme from now on.

i have a gardiner super light and its lasted a good 3 years but dont think they make them anymore:(
