They're back in the game again,

No.1 on google and I've had a cracking lead earlier in the week.

not been on here much over the last 3 months due to workload but how is the NWC going ???

are you all getting leads and large contracts ???

or has it been a waste of money or something that simply sits in the background bringing in a job here and there.. ?

and the guys that were selling it have gone to ground, and not on here every five minutes shouting about it like when they tried to get it of the ground.

good idea, but it needed more work than the guys could give me think.

Alright Dean,

As it happens I popped into the NWC admin system this week to take a look at the enquiries coming through and noticed the one you got. Looked interesting, what was it for offices?

The site has been sat there for six months with not much care and attention.

Not sure what we are going to do with the site really. As you said franky, it is a good idea, but took up a lot of time and money trying to get enquiries for everyone. I was thinking about possibly making it free for a while so we could get national coverage quickly and see where it goes, make it more of a communal effort maybe. The site, system, database and areas are all still there.

Will have a think...

Cheers,

Huw

Hello,

I've had a couple of beers, but I'm open to ideas. Either we make use of whats already been built and use it to possibly benefit lots of people or let it waste away.

Cheers,

Huw

Hello,

I'll probably have to have a rethink on a lot of the town/city pages and whether people think its worth having both seperate commercial and domestic sites for each area...but i'm up for it.

Can anyone give me some ideas as to how they think we could or should vet or test each window cleaner per area? Insurance/Experience/Equipment/Accreditations/References??? Ability to juggle?

Cheers,

Huw

Hi Huw

You can ask them to send you copies of their insurance and a list of 10 customers that you can call to check them out with.

You haven't forgotten about my areas have you, as its been all quite on the western front.

Hi Will,

Not forgot...but we weren't gonna take new paying customers on when the site got hit by Google.

Ten references x 1000 window cleaners = 10,000 references = A lot of time for me not cleaning windows = Nightmare

Cheers,

Huw

Hi Huw

You don't phone all 10 just pick 1 or 2 at ramdom and call them.

Hi William,

I knew what you meant, but you can imagine the hassle of phoning peoples customers? Still think insurance is a must, some references, address and a sign written van would be a start.

We've only recently "achieved" CHAS and SAFEcontractor and our working practices have not changed from anything we have done in the past so I don't think that is too relevant.

Cheers,

Huw

I don't think anyone would willingly hand over details of 10 customers for fear of poaching work.

do you really think that huw is going to travel 120 miles to birmingham to pinch my 10 customers that I charge £10 a clean.

am i right in saying the site didnt succeed at first because not enough time and effort was put into developing it?  i am personally very shocked (as a paying customer of this service) at the incredibly lax attitude with which this has been treated.
there has still not been any sort of email contact to explain what the hell happened with the website or even our invoices, its simply just faded away as though it never happened and we never paid you our money.  the only contact has been brief message board posts like the one above saying you wont have any time to clean the windows of your private business (which frankly has absolutely nothing to do with us as customers).  personally i feel like i have been kicked in the teeth by this website.  i signed up and paid, just as hundreds of other window cleaners did and i get the impression that no one was willing to put in the effort required to actually make this a success.
purely in terms of customer service the whole experience has been pretty awful.  it feels from current interactions on this forum that its more like a sort of relaxed agreement between mates, just giving it ago.  the massive difference though, is that we paid you money, and you took that money from us.  personally i feel utterly cheated and will steer clear of any more of these wideboy schemes until you show some more respect for the users
