i know many may not agree with this but it happens and for me its networking do any of you bigger companies take out new or clients hopefully gaining more work??

have any of you bought excutive seats at football stadiumsand used them to dine clients?

My brother is in charge of maintenance at a large Engineering factory in Newcastle (Vickers).  No-one 'bribes' him with stuff to win contracts, but they definitely ply him with stuff - such as executive boxes at Newcastle games - or bottles of posh whiskey, etc, at Christmas to say thank you for keeping them on as contractors.

I'm saying that businesses don't tend to bribe people to win contracts, but do give gifts to help keep existing ones.

But I'm sure back-handers happen too.

 Thinking! Not about to give some one 500 to give make sure I get the job but I have got two executive seats at Manchester united to keep them sweet and have some were to meet for  business meetings.
