Window cleaned last year of school on a saturday morning for pocket money doing old peoples bungalows....great money for a school lad. Went straight into it after leaving school for a few years. Got married, baby came along so got a 'proper job' (easier to get the mortgage etc) and was a postman for 7 years. Being a postman I saw when houses sold and people moved in so I started building up a round again. I did a few areas on the post and used to put out leaflets along with the post. Soon built up a good round and then gave up the post. Sold up and moved down south after another few years, thought id have a change of work so went to college doing plumbing. Qualified and did that for a bit. Soon yearned for the stress free window cleaning life though, so built up a round again and being doing it since. Brilliant job! I prefer time to money so I earn what I need and a little more and then spend my time doing the things I like, have days off when I want, finish early if I want, have a 2 hour lunch in the park drinking a Starbucks and reading paper/ people watching if I want. How many other jobs can you do that!
