Hi i have read that you can put a treatment down on patio and drives to get rid of the black spots and lichen etc that wont come off with the turbo lance.
What is the chemical called.?
How do i put it on?
Is it mixed partly?
Where can i buy it ?
How much does it cost?

Any help  please ?

Sodium hypochlorite works, that's what was advised on here. Do a search on it and lots will come up. Use with care but very effective on the black spots otherwise. Can be easily bought locally, but shop around as prices vary ask for good strength 14% proof as works best. I get mine from a swimming pool chemical shop.

easily available but only info for pools how would it be applied to paving? Neat, Mixed left to dwell or just sprayed on then pressure washed off ?

Some guys on here use bundles a week, I don't so much but when I do I start mixing 5 to 1 water / chem and work my ratio down until I get the desired effect. Sometimes  you may have to use it almost neat to get the result. I mix and apply it in a watering can and leave it to dwell for a few minutes then wash off. Some use the chem injection on the pw straight off.

Eitherway, use a chem respirator otherwise you'll fall over with the fumes and look stupid! Cover yourself all over cos this stuff burns and will even burn through some fabrics and shoes so PPE up appropriately as this stuff is serious. Watch the wildlife and grass however if you put down enough water to rinse it'll dilute well enough and shouldn't be too problematic if your careful.

I wouldn't of thought so cos of the chem would attack the rubber seals on the windows also think that it'll have a pop at the glass too!!!!! very powerful stuff just really want to keep it on the floor....

No mate. It is bleach but it's not your domestos household. Not to be underestimated on the harm it can cause.

I have tried bleach (household stuff) on lichen sports before and I may as well have not bothered - it did nothing.
I'll have to get hold of some of this.

Hypo could literally melt your face off if not used right!

Def wouldn't be spraying it about all over conny roof's, unless you want the roof to be the last thing you remember seeing, literally!

Another question

I have a block drive to do on thursday which im going to try this chemical,should i rotary floor clean it 1st get all the moss muck out between blocks wash all slurry away and then apply chemical leave and wash away again.

Or just apply the chemical 1st and then rotary floor clean it and wash away.

I ask this because i havnt then got chemicals flying around everywhere while im getting rid of the worst of it.

Whats your thoughts
