Do you want to 'kill' the smell or disguise it?

No matter what the manufacturers say about their products there is only one way I've ever found to get rid of smells...........................

100 degree heat i.e. boiling water!

If you have urinals that are 'chucking up' pour a boiling kettle of water down them and I mean boiling. It's no good boiling a kettle in the kitchen and carrying it to the toilets, boil it on an extension lead so that it doesn't go off the boil before you pour it.

Hi,
You need to use a microbiological product that actually uses the urine as a food source and digests it . The smell you get in the situation you described is naturally occurring bacteria digesting the urine and offgassing ammonia. Take over the envioronment with specially selected bacteria created by this product , it will get rid of the problem. Try Microclean - Bio-Productions Ltd
                                                   Zybax- Branova
                                                   Solubac- Solutions
Hope this helps

With regards to CMS reply,

boiling water may be okay for stainless steel urinals but I would not chance that in porceline / ceramic urinals as they may crack.

Have tried solubac from solutions, works very well.

The problem with urinals is that it is an ongoing problem and will not go away with one application of anything. There are products available which will continually dispense a dose of cleaner etc at regular intervals whenever it is flushed. Also there is a new product that you can put down the trap, do a search.

Derek.

We sell an ozoniser permanent solution to deal with this. This is now the prescribed method of deodourising washrooms in Australia. Have a look at our website under deodourising equipment.(pir)
We could maybe offer some slight discount to enable you to make some profit. Alternatively we could offer a trial of the product for the school to use.
