Cleaning petrol station forecourts
« on: July 17, 2012, 06:07:23 pm »
Good evening all
I have been contacted by a company who refit petrol station forecourts and would like me to quote to clean them prior to fitting new signage etc. the work involves jet washing the underside of the canopy one side and then closing off the other side and cleaning that and then clean the pumps and whirl away the block paving/concrete. They need a "spark guard" fitted on the pressure washer (anyone ever needed one of these.?), they also asked what chemical I would use for removing any diesel/oil etc. I have only really done residential driveways so the chemicals I have used have been quite expensive but never really used a lot so it would work out a bit too pricey on this scale. They said it could be on average 4 jobs per month so would like to get the price right. Anyone had experience of this sort of environment and what sort of price? Also the sites are all over the uk so if anyone out there is interested in helping out with this it could be that we could share the work between us.
Thanks
Tim ;D

Timmy

You firstly need insurance cover that allows for the work to take place and covers your backside!!

I do a great deal of work on fuel stations and have the relevant insurance. I don't want to take your work but would be happy to work with you on the project.

If you want me to call you or you can give me a ring I will be more than happy to chat.

If interested let me know

Morning, why share ? be greedy  ;D ;D Its only four a month - Sorry you two  ;D If forecourt is shut complete clean in 24hrs easy, if not 2 evenings max. But on saying that.....  if the price is right we would be interested  ;D ;D

I dont know of anyone who has spark arrestor fitted most cover it in their RAMS, if possible 20m+ distance, having machine in the van will not cut it. Not sure if it can be added to machine, simple phone call or maybe worth investing in new machine purpose built.
If you have comprehensive insurance treatment risk etc you may already be covered - another phone call  ;D
