I have been coming on here for a long time now but never posted anything before but now I could do with some help.
I set up my little domestic cleaning business over 6 years ago. I still have my first clients and my most recent have been with me for a year.
Unfortunately I now have to give it up because of health issues. I don't want to just give up on it, I have worked too hard for that and bearing in mind what people will pay for a franchise I am sure I could sell for a reasonable amount. My problem could be that I only have verbal contracts with my clients. I know my all my clients well and they will all need a cleaner weather it is me or somebody else.
I would like to sell £400 worth of work per week (almost all profit), I also have a fully equipped sign written Citreon Berlingo van ( 51 plate, 60,000 miles and in lovely condition) with mobile phone.
The business can be easily run by 1 person (2 part time). I work in a fairly well off part of south wales and the business has loads of potential to the right person who could start earning from day one.
I would like your opinion on how much it could be worth with only verbal contracts , with or without the van and equipment.

It's like selling a wc business, it's really the good will you are selling. I would try for something like 4 or five times the monthly income with an option to buy the van at whatever the book says it's worth. Or, look at franchising it to maybe two franchisees and starting them off with half the work each and a method of building it up from there.
