Absolutely sod all here in Birmingham - even with a number 1 listing on Google and Yahoo for a "window cleaners birmingham" and variations search. I've just dumped my webspace but I'll try again in few years when, hopefully, the net is more main stream when looking for trades. "Who you know" still rules from my experience.

Sorry to put a downer on it but you may have better luck where you are.

Ive had a web site for about a year now and it has worked great for me we get quite a bit of work from it,also with havin a web site when you go to do quotes or somebody asks about your company you can just give them your web address and they can check your company out and hopefully that may swing it for you.

When I had just a holding page as a site I got work using Google Adwords.

Now I have my full site I'm hoping to get some more work from it.
