[Ambi Cleaning]

Hi everyone. I have to go over and price a new opening barber ( hairdressing ) salon. It's the main room and the owner tells me he has two more rooms in the back. He wants 2 girls to go over and work tonight.
How would you price this up?
I'm in East London.

You're the one with 7 years experience in builders cleans, commercial properties, residential cleaning, spring cleaning, party clean ups, tenancy cleaning and carpet cleaning. Just confused why you can't price a simple job like this and need to ask.

Yes I do have the experience in the industry, but working for someone else. I'm starting to work for myself now and that's why I'm asking.

May I suggest you return to full time employment if you can not price that ,

You know how long it will take (roughly) based on your 7 years experience. To know this you do not need to have managed / run anything, you just need to have done the job.

Now, take this to the next step. Apply your hourly rate to the expected time and there's your price.

Bit late for pricing though. Sounds like you have the job already. How'd that happen then?

Sorry to be late in answering your request, let me know if you need any help in pricing or look in members offers there is a supplier offer on pricing.

Put simply there are 4 areas which make up your price:
1. labour and associated costs
2. Equipment (including asset depreciation / rental ect)
3. Materials ( includes consumables)
4. Profit - How much money you will make at the end of the job. Don't forget to account for your overheads in the formula, insurance, training, office ect

You will need to factor Tax into your calculations, corporation, PAYE, VAT, CIS ect

Most commercial cleaners use a pricing formula, accounting for the above, you should be able to create your own price formula if you know your charges.
