Pulled in at Donnington services
« on: June 09, 2012, 07:40:24 pm »
Had to stop work today on a store roof clean - down near Enfield, Winchmore Hill because of noise restrictions over the weekend. back to it Monday morning!!!

Nearly home & the guy working with me cannot wait to get home and needs the toilet so we pull in at the services by Junction 23 of the M1.

Pulled in near the front entrance and while he went about his business I am eating a pasta salad and looking at the slab work at the front of the entrance that clearly has just been pressure washed.

If you are responsible for that job you need to take yourself outside and give yourself a good slapping round the back of the head, with a very big stick.

More stripes than a herd of zebra - muppetry!!!!

Crazy ain't it mate. I see loads all the time, the majority down to the staff doing it themselves but the funniest one to their downfall was Morris Morris UK, formally Morris Morris Yorkshire whose lads really don't give a shiit about the work they do...or did on all the Wetherspoons pubs that they lost to us! Cheers lads.

It's not hard to look good in this game mate - is it?  ;)

Cheers for the heads up with Alex - he couldn't do it but it is sorted now and I have his details for the future.

And there was me thinking it went over your head.  ;D

Piccadilly Basin in town mate starting Monday. Paving along canal consisting of york stone and block paving. Some big work, hoping British Waterways agree to my proposal of sucking from canal, to which I've not heard back from yet in regards to an amended RAMS sent it. Would make it much easier as there's some tight paving the width of a barrow style PW trolley can roll on. City Council are involved too as some underpasses belong to them. One of which I'm not looking forward to as it stinks of semen, shiit and piiss.

It's so bad in places people are slipping when it's wet. Last thing they want is someone slipping cracking their head and falling in.
