The end of NWC?
« on: June 02, 2012, 05:39:01 am »
It would seem that this enterprise has slid silently off into the sunset.
I took a punt and looks like it backfired
Oh well,nothing ventured nothing gained
Huw has been very, very quite about it all despite a couple of emails and prompts on here from me and others
And it came with such a fanfare too
Anyone out there with more info?

when i was on here a few months ago every post was about nwc?
really does like quiet on the nwc front and huw is nowhere to be seen.
looks like they had a good go to make it work but never happened.
was any national contracts finalised as that was the aim?
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014

Hi mark, agreed but this had some weight behind it (or so it would seem)
We covered our costs from the leads we got from it so yeah, took a chance ( I also do euromillions but I don't expect to retire from glass any day soon)
Be really good to hear from Huw tho,but I fear that  hes response may not be robust enought to stand up to scrutiny

It's the vagaries of SEO optimisation and the 'black arts'associated with it.
It's very term specific, and if I put in just our areas,we draw a blank, but it's the use of the word' residential 'that has put us on page 1 for our two sites.
I don't really know enough about it to comment further, but I read from other posts that google had changed the parameters somewhat( please feel free to comment if you can add to this)and this has had an adverse affect on some sites.
Would still like to have further input from the admin at NWC as I still feel that it has worth

Hi Roy how are you matey!

You know what i was thinking exactly the same today about NWC, i took a punt aswell as you know but have had no response apart from a couple of enquiries which i was sure were not genuine but made up, as soon as my payment was due a couple more enquiries came in? call me suspicious but i would like to be proven wrong!
I think the partners of this site have taken our money and ran, again prove me wrong, not as much 'bigging up' on here as it was is it??!!

anyway onwards and upwards if you'll pardon the pun!

There's a good few who have picked up some cracking contracts from nwc
One picked up there biggest contract to date.

But not all post there every move on here!

Money well spent for some, not so for others
But that's the name of the game people  ;)
keep it simple

Hi
Like most of you I took a punt on this and have had little responce.
With the people behind this I was hoping for more, but as with any advertising you can't make people want a window cleaner.
To be fair most of my mini sites are still on page 1 so I can't blame nwc,and as said above some people have had some nice work out of this.

Craig.

JV were last active on here at the start of May, but that not to say he may well be away.

"the end of the NWC",....

Did you get an e-mail/communication saying the directory is closing, or are you simply not renewing because it didn't work for you?

I've got a £500 commercial job from it that needs doing in June for it's 2nd clean so I've no complaints.

I know that has been on annual leave and Huw has a young family and maybe on holiday too.

They certainly won't be avoiding the forum.
